Chocolate and Cream Cheese

Begitu liat fotonya di foodblog Dita Kuwait langsung pengen nyoba. Keliatannya enak banget.. Mana telurnya dikit lagi.

Ternyata, butuh 2 kali percobaan😦

Percobaan pertama gagal. Di resep tertulis waktu pemanggangan 45-50 menit, tapi di oven saya yang biasanya sehat dan akurat kok lebih lama.. jadi 65 menit. Lapisan atasnya agak gosong, tapi lapisan dalamnya belum padat. Ditambah lagi kue udah keburu dibalik dari loyang dalam keadaan masih agak panas. Jadi tambah ancur lah bentuknya.

Percobaan kedua, untuk mengatasi gosong, loyang ditutup alufoil. Waktu baru mateng mumbul tinggi, tapi beberapa menit kemudian mimpes Layer cream cheese-nya juga merosot ke bawah. Hasil akhir, cake-nya agak lembab. Cream cheese-nya enak, cuma lapisan coklatnya buat saya kurang asik. Belum tau juga kok sampe dua kali gagal. Mungkin karena tepungnya pake self-raising bikinan sendiri, atau ngocok adonannya kurang dihayati.

 

Chocolate Cream Cheese Loaf Cake

Ingredients

Mixture ‘A’

250 gr cream cheese, softened
60 gr castor sugar
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla

1. Beat cream cheese and sugar until light and fluffy
2. Beat in egg until well incorporated and set it aside

Mixture ‘B’

180 gr butter, softened
150 gr sugar
3 eggs
3 tbs cocoa
120 gr self-raising flour
1 tsp baking powder
2 tsp vanilla

1. Sieve flour, baking powder and cocoa together, put aside
2. Beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy
3. Add egg, one in a time and beat until well incorporated into mixture
4. Fold flour mixture into egg mixture
5. To assemble, pour half of mixture ‘B’, then all of mixture ‘A’, then followed by remaining mixture ‘B’.
6. Bake in preheat oven at (350 F)180C for 45-50 min or until skewer comes out clean.
